 (A) School-based e-Learning strategies

With the aim of sustaining the development of self-directed learning, we integrate the flipped classroom approach and e-learning strategies in daily teaching, and utilise lesson time flexibly. Our curriculum also uses information technology to support learning and elevate learning effectiveness.

In the pre-lesson phase, pre-tasks are assigned through an online learning platform. Co-operative learning and e-interactive strategies are employed during lessons. In the post-lesson phase, extended reading materials and learning tasks are given so as to consolidate students’learning experiences.

  • English Lessons

      -Use of Interactive Touch Screen

      Interactive learning is conducted with the help of the Interactive Touch Screen in each classroom.

 

      -Use of iPads

      Use of iPads on a regular basis during lesson activities to foster Self-directed Learning.

(B) Diversified Learning Opportunities

With the purpose of fostering students to learn by experiences, broaden their horizon, and raise up their sense of achievement, our school provides diverse English learning opportunities to students to demonstrate their talents through multiple learning and life-wide learning activities. Student activities range from Enrichment Programmes and English Ambassadors, to assorted internal and external competitions.

  • English Competition

      -Class-based English Competition

      Students were tackling the challenging questions on iPads at Class-based English Competition so as to attain the highest mark of the class.

      -Inter-class English Competition

      All students were watching the breathtaking Inter-class English Competition with concentration!

 

  • English Speaking Day

      -Student's Passbook

      Our students make use of the English Passbook to practise their spoken English on English Speaking Days.

  

 

  • News Sharing at the Morning Assembly

      English News Sharing at the morning assembly. Senior students were invited to share some interesting information on the current social issue.

 

(C) Native-speaking English Teacher (NET) Scheme, Education Bureau

The NET in our school helps develop students’interest in learning English and enhance their language skills by providing an authentic environment for them at school. Our NET teaches particular lessons related to English language learning and conducts co-curricular activities.

Moreover, in order to enhance the reading proficiency of junior Primary students through a sustainable literacy programme with a focus on reading, Primary Literacy Programme – Reading, is implemented in our school from P1 to P3.

  • Primary Literacy Programme – Reading (PLP-R)

      Our NET helps enhance the reading proficiency of P1-P3 students and develop their interest in learning English through PLP-R.
